I need direction or wisdom
God promises wisdom to anyone who asks. He often guides step by step, through Scripture, prayer, wise people and open doors.
What God's word says
5But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.
5Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. 6In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.
105Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light for my path.
14Where there is no wise guidance, the nation falls, but in the multitude of counselors there is victory.
8I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go. I will counsel you with my eye on you.

A prayer you can pray
Lord, I do not know what to do. I trust you. Give me wisdom for this decision. Close the doors I should not go through, open the ones I should, and give me peace as I take the next step. Amen.
A next step
Write out the choice, pray over it, and ask two wise people what they see. Take the next faithful step you can see.
