Privacy Policy

Maranatha is a service of Aspir Technologies ("Aspir," "we," "us"). This policy explains what information we collect through maranatha.com, why, who can see it, and what choices you have. Our services are intended for adults aged 18 and over.

What we collect

• Questions and prayer requests. The text you submit, an email address if you want a reply (required for questions), and an optional first name. We also record your ZIP code if you tell us you want help finding a church.
• Devotional subscriptions. Your email address, an optional first name, and the dates you confirmed and received messages.
• Church introductions. Your name, email, ZIP code, what you are looking for, and an optional message. We share these only with the church you choose, and only what you agreed to share.
• Contact form messages. Your name, email address, and message.
• Church accounts. For church staff: name, email, password (stored only as a secure hash), and the content of your church's site, contacts, and giving records.
• Technical information. Your session cookie, security logs, and standard server logs. We do not use advertising trackers. If privacy-friendly analytics are turned on, they do not use cookies and are not used on question or prayer pages.

Why we use it

We use your information to reply to your questions, pray for you, send the devotional you asked for, introduce you to a church you asked to meet, operate church accounts, keep the service secure, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Who can see it

• Questions and prayer requests are confidential. They are visible only to the approved responder assigned to them and to a small number of administrators who maintain the service and keep it safe. The text is encrypted in our database.
• Introductions are visible to the church you chose.
• If we believe someone is in immediate danger, we may take steps to protect them, which can include contacting emergency services, where the law permits.
• Service providers process data on our behalf: our hosting provider (Hostinger), our email delivery, and Stripe for payments. They may only use it to provide their services to us.
• Legal requests. We may disclose information when required by law.

How long we keep it

We keep questions and prayer requests only as long as needed to serve you and to keep a record of our care, and we delete or anonymize them on request. Unconfirmed devotional signups are removed after 7 days. Sent email copies are cleared from our queue after a short period. Backups are retained for a limited time.

Your choices and rights

You may ask us to export the personal information we hold about your email address, or to delete it, using our privacy request form. We confirm ownership of the email address first, and we complete requests within 30 days. You can unsubscribe from the devotional at any time with the link in every email.

Cookies

We use one essential session cookie and one security cookie to keep forms safe. We do not use advertising cookies. You can block cookies, but some features, such as signing in, will not work.

Children

Our services are not for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors. If you believe a minor has sent us information, contact us and we will remove it.

Security

We use encryption in transit (HTTPS), encryption of question and prayer text at rest, access controls, and audit logs. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
