I am angry
Anger is a signal. God wants to hear it, and he can handle it. The question is what we do with it.
What God's word says
26“Be angry, and don’t sin.” Don’t let the sun go down on your wrath, 27and don’t give place to the devil.
19So, then, my beloved brothers, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger; 20for the anger of man doesn’t produce the righteousness of God.
1A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.
4Stand in awe, and don’t sin. Search your own heart on your bed, and be still. Selah.
19Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, “Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.” 20Therefore “If your enemy is hungry, feed him. If he is thirsty, give him a drink; for in doing so, you will heap coals of fire on his head.” 21Don’t be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

A prayer you can pray
God, I am angry, and you already know it. Help me to slow down, to be honest with you, and not to hurt anyone with my words. Show me what is under this anger and heal what needs healing. Amen.
A next step
Take a pause before you react: breathe, walk, pray. Then decide what you will say or do after the heat has gone down.
