"Our Father in heaven": God is not distant. You come as a child to a loving Father, and you come with others, because it says "our."
"Hallowed be your name": Ask that God would be honored, in your life first.
"Your kingdom come, your will be done": Surrender your plans. Ask for what God wants, on earth and in your own home.
"Give us today our daily bread": Bring your real needs for today, not just spiritual ones.
"Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors": Receive forgiveness, and name anyone you need to forgive.
"Do not bring us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one": Ask for protection and strength where you are weak.
