AspIr Church

Welcome

I'm new here

We are glad you are here

Visiting a church for the first time can feel like a big step. Thank you for considering us. Here is what to expect so that your first Sunday feels a little easier.

What to expect

Our service lasts about [75 minutes]. We open with a welcome, sing together, pray, hear a reading from the Bible, and listen to a message that explains the passage and how it connects to everyday life. Sometimes we share communion together. You are welcome to take part in whatever you are comfortable with, and to simply watch if you prefer.

Someone will greet you at the door, and no one will put you on the spot. You do not have to stand up, give your name, or put money in the offering. If you would like to talk to someone, ask any greeter, and they will be glad to help.

What to wear

Come as you are. Most people wear casual clothes, such as jeans, a sweater, or whatever is comfortable. Some dress up a little. Any of it is fine.

Kids

We welcome children. [Describe your children's program: ages, check-in process, how volunteers are screened, and where the nursery is.] Every child is checked in and out by a parent or guardian, and our volunteers are screened. You are also welcome to keep your children with you in the service.

Parking and finding us

[Describe where to park, which entrance to use, and any accessibility features such as ramps, hearing loops and accessible restrooms.] A greeter in a [color] shirt will help you find your way.

The offering

We take an offering during the service as an act of worship for those who call this their church home. If you are a guest, please do not feel any pressure to give.

Questions people often ask

Do I need to know anything about the Bible? Not at all. Bibles are available, and passages are shown on the screen.

What if I am not sure I believe? You are welcome to come with your questions. Many people visit while they are figuring out what they think.

What happens after the service? Many people stay for coffee and conversation. If you would like to talk with a pastor or learn about small groups, just ask.
